Prince Harrys Admirer Daphne Dunne Dies After Her 99th Birthday

Daphne Dunne one of Prince Harry’s admirers has died shortly after celebrating her 99th birthday.

Daphne’s family confirmed her death on her Instagram page on Sunday, three days after her birthday.

One of the people Daphne touched was Prince Harry whom she connected within 2015 over her husband’s military medals.

Harry and Daphne met again in October 2018 when Prince Harry introduced Daphne to his pregnant wife Meghan.

The prince and his wife sent her a lovely message during her birthday. Daphne wrote on her Instagram page that she was pleased with everyone who wished her a happy birthday.

She went ahead and said that the gestures were lovely and they touched her heart. There were also several pictures of herself surrounded with flowers in her hospital bed.

Harry first met Dunne after he noticed that she was wearing a, Victorian cross.

The Victorian cross is one of the highest honors which can be bestowed upon a person by the British monarch.

Dunne told Harry that the Victorian cross belonged to her late first husband who had died in Guinea during the second world war.

The meeting between the two led to a friendship that continued for many years as the Royals continued to visit Australia. During the royals and Dunne’s meeting, she said that she wished all the best to Meghan and Harry as they awaited the birth of their little bundle of joy.

She went ahead and said that Meghan’s pregnancy was what prince harry had been waiting for many years.
